Kinusaiga is a contemporary Japanese art form where intricate pictures are created by tucking fabric scraps into grooves on a base board, effectively creating a textured, layered artwork without any sewing.

Often referred to as "quilting without thread", this eco-friendly craft traditionally used silk scraps from old kimonos pushed into wooden blocks. Today, modern crafters use high-density foam boards and cotton fabric to achieve the same beautiful, mosaic-like effect.

All our kits contain XPS foam boards (30mm thick) which are pre-coated with an adhesive layer.  Our designs are supplied on sticker paper.  We do not pre-cut the board to enable you to make minor changes or additions to the design if required.
